This innovative system is the result of 10 years of research by Cerema and Gustave Eiffel University.
Detect risky driving situations with the SVRAI system: an innovative approach designed to identify road infrastructures likely to give rise to dangerous driving situations.
These incidents are detected by a specially developed application and Event Data Recorders installed in vehicles. These systems automatically detect any excessive stress on the vehicle: sudden braking, cornering on the verge of losing control, etc.
The data collected will give us a better understanding of the network and provide us with:
- The precise position of each incident
- A set of information on the driving conditions preceding and following the incident:
- Speed, longitudinal and transverse acceleration of the vehicle, lateral offset
- Contextual video sequence
- Driver actions (indicators, brake pedal pressure, etc.)
- The roads used by vehicles
Phase 1: Collect
By fitting vehicles with sensors to record journeys and driving incidents.
The data is anonymised before being sent to and processed on our servers.
Phase 2: View
The web interface allows you to view :
- Location of incidents reported;
- Speed and acceleration curves;
- A 45-second video providing a detailed analysis of the driving situation
Phase 3: Analyse
Carry out a detailed analysis of the incident area to draw up a development plan.
